We have nine staff, have handled Australia ’s rarest coins & banknotes several times over, and have built some of Australia ’s finest collections. We are a foundation member of ANDA, regularly publish numismatic research & articles, and are regularly consulted by public institutions.
Our Background and Corporate Objective
Our first objective is to assist you to make money by trading, or investing, in Australia ’s rarest and highest quality coins and banknotes. Because of our extensive knowledge of the market, we can provide excellent advice, based on comprehensive research, on which coins and banknotes to buy and when to sell them. We can also assist in the actual acquisition and disposal of these items.
Monetarium was formed in 1985 as a partnership between Jeffrey Dick and Tony Richardson. Together they saw an opportunity in Australia for a rare coin and banknote operation that offered exceptional levels of integrity, research and advice. Since then the directors have worked to establish Monetarium’s reputation as Australia ’s leading specialist in rare coins and banknotes.
Today, Monetarium is prominent in all areas of the Australian numismatic market, carrying items of national historical importance and acting as an authorised agent for the Royal Australian Mint, the Perth Mint and Note Printing Australia. It has also extended its interests to include a vast range of coins and banknotes from around the world.
